Probably the "Best" Western around
I have to say, based on previous experience with Best Western hotels (both in the UK & the USA) , my expectations were not high, and had it not been a truly last minute overnight stay required, I would have chosen elsewhere to stay.
The hotel has had a recent refurbishment and the the standard of work is excellent.
The reception area was warm and welcoming and the receptionist was an example in superb customer service.
The room was actually in a huge converted victorian house (big rooms) next to the main building, and was extremely well decorated with excellent facilities.
LCD tv, fast (free) broadband, trouser press, big, very comfortable bed, and a very impressive bathroom with a shower that was powerful enough to wake you regardless of much you enjoyed the bar the night before ;).
Now, the bar and restaurant.
I had a meal in the bar area while watching the football on the big main screen.
I had a burger, and expected the standard fayre...processed burger with chips and something vaguely resembling a salad.
What I received was the most wonderful hand made burger (be warned, makke sure you are really hungry before ordering!) with great chips and a proper side salad. For the price £6.95, it is superb!
The bar itself is spacious, light, airy and welcoming with staff that are both friendly and knowlegeable.
Overall this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in recently, and I stay in different hotels at least twice a week.

We arrived quite late but the staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a twin room which was very clean and modern and the bathroom looked brand new. It was less than 15 minutes from the NEC and easy to find. We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed there for the whole weekend

I wish I had discovered the Hotel earlier

Thank you so much. I wish I had discovered this Hotel earlier,having spent previous nights at Birmingham in Premier Inn and or Hilton,NEC This is much better! I'm afriad you are stuck with me!

Just want to add that the food in the Seasons restaurant was magnificent(cant remember when I had better in all my hotel stays!) and the waiting staff were so welcoming and friendly. I will be repeating these comments on"Trip Advisor".Reception staff great too!

NEC Visit
NEC Visit
We stayed at this hotel last weekend.The hotel was welcoming and decorated well. It was very clean and tidy. The food was excellent ! We would recommend this hotel for people going to Birmingham. We went to the NEC and drove our car back to the hotel after visiting and it took us about 15-20 mins.

One of the best I've stayed in for a long time,the staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for you. The Food was to die for and the room was fantastic. One of the best hotels I've stayed in and about 15mins from the NEC.

Just returned from Westley did a one night stop over. from checking in to checking out staff couldn't do enough for us made us feel at home .The room was clean and tidy, trouser press, internet access,tea & coffee etc. Bathroom heated towel rail plus radiator nice and new very good shower.
Did not eat dinner in hotel but the breakfast was very good every thing you could possibly want.
